Founder's Story

From Mechanic to AM Expert

Ralf Verhoven didn't start as a 3D printing salesperson. He started on the factory floor as a precision mechanic, where he learned firsthand the challenges of traditional manufacturing: long lead times, expensive tooling, and the constant struggle to produce complex geometries.

When he discovered additive manufacturing in 2016, he saw its potential—but also saw how badly it was being sold. Companies were buying expensive machines that sat unused because nobody showed them how to integrate the technology into their workflow.

That's why he founded 3DPS Industrial with a different approach: implementation over equipment. Every client gets a customized training program, workflow analysis, and ongoing technical support. We don't measure success by machines sold—we measure it by parts produced.

Company Founded

Ralf Verhoven establishes 3DPS with a mission to bridge the gap between additive technology and practical manufacturing. Initial focus on industrial polymer printing for tooling and fixtures.

First client: Local automotive supplier

2018

Ultimaker Partnership

Became official Ultimaker reseller and implementation partner for Benelux. Developed specialized training programs for industrial polymer applications in automotive and aerospace sectors.

Meltio Exclusive Partnership

Secured exclusive distribution rights for Meltio wire-laser metal 3D printers in Benelux. First company in the region to offer safe, wire-based metal printing without powder hazards.
